A rare and visually iconic original helmet worn by Gianni Morbidelli during his early Formula One testing period with Scuderia Ferrari, dating to circa 1990—an important moment marking his entry into the pinnacle of motorsport with one of its most legendary teams.
The helmet features a classic and highly recognizable Italian design, finished in white with bold blue crown and red accents, complemented by green side panels—echoing the Italian tricolore. Prominent Marlboro branding reflects Ferrari’s title sponsorship era, making this piece instantly evocative of late-1980s/early-1990s Formula One.
Manufactured by Nolan, the helmet retains its original configuration, including visor assembly and interior padding. The interior remains clean and well-preserved, while the exterior shows light, honest signs of use consistent with track activity.
Of particular note is the hand-written dedication on the rear:
“A Gilles con amicizia” (“To Gilles, with friendship”), accompanied by Morbidelli’s signature—adding a personal and collectible dimension to the piece.
